From Burma to Bethel

Bethel University is home to the largest number of Karen students in Minnesota. The military coup in Myanmar (ancestral homeland of the Karen people) has once again sent the country into a violent downturn. Many of the Karen people resettled in Minnesota have intimate relationships and connections to those most impacted by intense violence in Myanmar. It's our hope that through this event, the Bethel community will more fully recognize its relationship and responsibility to the local and global Karen community.
